Even if a girl is not close friends with a guy and just an acquittance, why would she still have a lot of concern for him? Like get pissed off when he's not looking out for himself or get shocked when she thinks he quit his job or worried when he's sick or meets with an accident?

it doesn't matter, people can care about one another with just a "hey hows it going?", you don't need to be close friends for someone to care about another.
