He keeps play fighting etc.. is my crush into me?

So my crush and I have been play fighting late a lot and even in front of our friends, I asked him to teach me to play the ps and later on in his room he started to throw pillows at me and ended up on his bed pkay fighting and he tickled me, bit me, etc. He came to hang out at my house and out of the nowhere he started playfighting again and that for morr than 2 hours (with pause) he sometimes pulled me next to him and we started cuddling and he had his arms around my waist and pulled me closer and we were so close to each other I could feel his breath on my face, we started to hold hands and to play with them and later on he asked if we should kiss and I froze.. I got nervous and asked why he would adk me that out of the nowhere and he said he didn’t know either.. the moment felt “right”.. we moved on and kept play fighting and then he left. When he left he sent me a snap and said he was sorry he didn’t know ehat got into him because he never asked a friend ti kiss or never thought about it but it was weird that he he said that to me.. I said he shouldn’t have asked me for a kiss, instead he should’ve kissed me right away and it wouldn’t have been a mistake because I would have liked it and he insisted that he didn’t know why he said that but it definitely wouldn’t have been a mistake for him too.. as a joke I said “maybe you like me more than just as a friend” but he didn’t answer to that message and I’ve been thinking to steal him a kiss or just go for it the next time it feels right but I am scared of his reaction.. or rejection.. I don’t know what to do.. please help me out (he likes to slap my thighs when play fighting and told me he only does that to me) I kinda think that’s cute but on the other side I don't know lmao I swear this is too complicated
