Maybe he just enjoys your stories better than your actual posts. Also, story reactions go directly to your messages, so maybe that's his way of making sure that you see him.

Depends on the post. We tend to post different things from our personal /public post. The heart emoji might just be his go-to. Better judge is how he is reacting to you in person and etc. I would take IG and FB stories with a grain of salt

Tapping some little "Like" icon on a website means he likes your story, nothing more. If you want him to elaborate, then ask him.
FB is a place to post stories. They're not fortune tellers.
