+1 yI don't do that a lot. I have watched a girl sleeping before maybe for a few minutes at most just because I love (d) her and liked to look at her cute face. When someone is sleeping they are vulnerable and cute because they are totally unaware of themselves, so it's an honest/genuine time as well which is kind of special. But most of my girlfriends thankfully have been genuine while awake as well so no need to catch them sleeping.
But that's just me. Some other guys might have other motivations. Some may watch their gfs sleep while planning how they will murder them, so I can't speak for others.20 Reply

+1 yTo check her breathing to see if she's dreaming or having a nightmare, to acclimatise to her sleep, check she's actually sleeping or taking it, looking to see if she's gripping her pillow to avoid theft. It's a sleeping ritual we perform so that we can sleep together in solitude. We look to see if she pulls the bed sheet towards her and wrap around, starfish poses and kicking etc to draw a mental boundary around the bed then fit into that boundary to avoid injuries. We also assess her posture and decide our own posture back to back or spooning or front to front. There's a lot to it. Going in unprepared could land us in trouble 😣

What Guys Said
+1 yBecause they're beautiful. If you have a beautiful painting or piece of art, do you ever stare at it? When your girlfriend's sleeping is one of the only times you can appreciate her beauty without weirding her out or getting a reaction for simply appreciating her.
40 ReplyFor me there are two reasons. First one is protective instinct. Even though I consciously know there is no danger, I want to keep an eye on her so she can sleep soundly. The other reason is that I adore her and am watching for any sign of distress (maybe a nightmare) so I can comfort her when it happens.

+1 yI am not sure a lot of guys do that. Unless they are smitten, in which case they may. It's a way to observe you without you trying to control what the observation will be. You're vulnerable, peaceful and most importantly honest. There is nothing put on about the state of sleep. You cannot lie, or frame or control a narrative. I can see how that's intriguing. Especially, if she is your dream girl.
30 ReplyI'd love watching my girlfriend sleep because of how innocent she'd look while dozing off. Also, I'd plant a few forehead kisses and whisper hiw much I love her. I'd caress her hair and tap her head. I don't know what girls think about guys who do this. What do you think?
20 ReplyNight watch.
Somebody has to make sure that nothing or nobody disturbs her sleep.
Or sometimes we just think "How the hell did i manage to convince this cute little thing to hang out with me?🤔"50 ReplyI got a thing that pesters me.. I feel people gonna die in their sleep, so I check make sure they're breathing when they're asleep

There’s something about the way her eyelashes look.
There’s also the way her tummy goes up and down when she’s breathing so deeply10 Reply3.1K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. They all were so cute when they were asleep. In some cases it was too bad they had to eventually wake up (ha Ha)
