Why does my boyfriend pick fights with me when he's drunk and then breaks up with me?

He picks fights with me when he's drunk and ends up breaking up with me. Then the next day he apologizes for his behavior and says he feels stupid for doing it. He just did it to me again yesterday after not doing it for a few months. It's over the same reason every time, because I hate video chatting. It's such a dumb reason...

Bc If your his girl you have to do the chatting... but if you dont and he loses himself again... he can get angry and make you hurt bc he totally loses himself after being drunk and nothing remains under his control

He drinks once a week, and that's on Sundays. He gets emotional and doesn't know how to handle it. He quit for a couple of months, and went back to it.

But I'll answer your question anyways. He's not an alcoholic. He drinks once a week, on Sundays. He just lost his mom recently, and he gets emotional. Making a huge deal over the smallest thing. Then apologizes the next day. He hasn't done it for a few months but I guess emotions ran wild yesterday and he let it get the best of him.
