It's very possible to like what you see or read yet believe the other wouldn't see you as a potential mate. For instance, women tend to show interest in activities that are beyond my income level. I know the value I have to offer, yet I'm not interested in women primarily seeking a provider of a lifestyle. I might think she's the best thing since sliced bread, till she states she's a lesbian.

It's also possible for the person to be very impressive yet not within your location limitations. Sites often send profiles my way of people who live 4-8 times the distance I list as acceptable. Some people don't choose to commute hours or more for a possible connection.

You are a candidate for what he wants, but it doesn't appear he's a candidate for what you want. Don't be critical of yourself because someone has different preferences. Just find someone who prefers you. It appears you see what you want to see rather than what actually exists. See people for who they are, not for the potential you believe they could become.

I think as I wrote this question I answered it myself. He is a f boy type and I’m a relationship kinda person and it’s fairly obvious I suppose those things wouldn’t mix well anyway.
