Guys, my husband often says bad things about women. Why?

I am aware he loves me (and of course, I love him too), but when he says very mean things about women, it makes me feel hopeless. I usually wear long skirts, dresses etc. and he likes that a lot, which is not a problem to me, because I feel comfortable when my body is not exposed too much. The thing is, whenever we see girls on street wearing crop tops and/or very short pants, dresses, skirts (just short whatever), he very loudly says things like “what a skank” or “look at this whore”. The other thing is, he constantly refers to women as “snakes in the grass”. What can I do to change his mind and make him respect women? Am I overreacting?

No you're not overreacting probably tired of being embarrassed from him it kind of depends on how loud he's doing it he might be doing it because he's looking and if he says something about them then he can look at them and that worried about you saying what are you looking at her for he has an excuse because it's kinda like a form of manipulation and if you doing it just to be mean good luck I don't think you're going to change him but I think it's something deeper than him being mean I think he's just likes looking and then talkingshit

Wel it’s possible that he’s been through a lot w women in the past as I have. So he may be bitter toward women which nowadays there seems to be a lot of men like that. It’s taken me a while to get over that, sometimes I still say things myself but not as much as I used to. It may also be a little trick some of us men tend to do. For example if I’m checking out a girl who is showing way too much like her tits or ass I may make a comment like damn what a skank or whore but in reality I’m really checking her out. But I say that so my girl doesn’t think I’m interested. Yes kind of screwed up I know but I know numerous men who do the same.

Past trauma is not an option, because I am his first. Secondly, he is not checking them out, because he genuinely thinks they are “disgusting STD-ridden degenerates”.

Looks like you married to someone you dont even know. If he is acting like that he must have been like that always, that way of thinking dont come suddenly. You can't change his mind, he can change only if he wants not if you want but i doubt he will change that thinking.

I do know him. He is a good and loving husband, likes taking care of me and our family. There’s just this one thing that bothers me. Mind, that he never talks that way about me, it’s just the other women.

He's dealing with trauma from a girl in his past.
I'm not excusing his comments. They're still rude and insulting, even if that girl never hears him.
You don't want kids growing up hearing that either. A boy will value women less and a girl will have self-esteem issues early on.
He might need some counseling if you tell him how you feel and he gets ugly about it.

Maybe he has had bad experiences with women. I think you should just ask him not to say those things around you.
