He started calling me “babe” what does this mean?

I’ve been dating this guy for a while now, he has never called me babe or any pet names before. I remember at one point early on, I accidentally called him babe and he just smiled but never said anything. And last night while texting, he said “i’ll speak to you tomorrow babe”. And I got so confused.. today I was speaking to him on the phone and he was saying it again… I’m 24 and he’s 32.

He likes you, wants you to be his girlfriend most likely. Personally, I don't use pet names unless I am with someone I see a future with.

Here is a thought. Ask him. He is 32, he can handle the "what are we" talk if it's been more than a few months. If longer than 2 months seeing each other regularly, you can ask for a relationship. If we doesn't know by then, he is playing games, and you are a placeholder / doesn't like you that much.

2 things I'm confused about is you say you're 24 but next to your profile it says (25-29). Also what is confusing understanding his intentions? He obviously likes you and you like him back.
