I get stared at way too much and I hate it, help?

I get stared at quite a bit. I wouldn’t even say I’m that attractive. I just find it very uncomfortable. I get beeped at, guys shouting at me from their cars whistling at me and saying hey (even when I have earphones in this happens). A group of worker men, like 6 or 7 of them all turned and stopped talking and were staring at me the whole time I passed by.

Majority of the time I’m wearing gym clothes and trainers and this happens. I don’t have anything on show or wearing a short dress. I literally can’t go anywhere without getting hassled. my boyfriend says I should take it as a compliment and ego boost but I just want to be able to go outside and left alone! Help, how do I overcome my uncomfortableness? I guess I don’t like too much attention constantly.

This has been my life, regardless of how I dress. And let me say, grew up a tomboy and I’m still always covered.
I hated it. Made me so uncomfortable. Now I’m older, I’m much more relaxed about it. No one is ever rude or threatening, so I’m guess I’m lucky in that respect.
