I am friends with a couple, some since school and some later on.

one of my good friends in my social group is a good friend and we do loads stuff like mountain biking, hiking, shooting together.

The explanation, well we have the option of choosing friends and that really does not matter what their gender is, what their sexuality is, or ethnicity or religion.

it’s not like you can look at someone and instantly know their sexuality, you end up being friends usually and then they let you know or maybe they say early on, for me it does not matter.

I would sooner have a good friend who was bisexual, gay, lesbian or transexual than a straight one that was toxic, or I could not trust, not reliable etc

What's to explain? Why WOULDN'T I? Because he might be attracted to me? If that was a problem for me, dating would be pretty much impossible, no? Are you under the impression that "gay" means "completely unable to control his lust"? What would be the hang up? Prob the best wingman you could ever get. If you're truly friends he's not gonna be trying to get you to switch sides, he'll respect your boundaries as you respect his. Just being honest with each other is more important than who or what you do in private. You should have each other's back, there's so much more to friendships. I don't have any gay friends, maybe that's what I need instead of some of these other fake fuck's.

I have a gay friend. He's one of my shooting, golfing and drinking buddies (I also have motorcycle riding buddies). He's a former paratrooper and worked as a contractor in Iraq. He has a male partner rather than a girlfriend, but that's his own business. His preferences are something that never comes up in conversation.

Homosexuality is a federal crime in my country, so I won't want to be friends with anyone gay as they could think I'm one.

There was a time I fantasized about shemales and because I did, I couldn't be friends with anyone gay... anything could happen.

Probably not. Not because they're gay. I really don't care. But friendship requires give and take, and trust etc. It's been my experience that gay guys have this uppity attitude. I don't know as if it's a defense mechanism or what but i keep my circle small anyhow. So he'd have to be a real outgoing gay guy.
