Why are some straight guys not interested in being friends with gay guys?

You tend to be friends with people you have something in common with. I have had a few gay/bi friends but only when we have a lot of other things in common.

Usually, the gay guys in question act way more like a parody of a woman than a guy and guys often prefer to be friend with guys who behave like guys.

I think that they're insecure.
I think the reason why they hate is they don't take the time to understand and they're not accepting.
There judgmental and prejudice against people of different lifestyles.
I am not gay but I do have friends that are.

Well the first question is, how would they know if gay unless they asked them.

A guy may have friends already and one may be gay.

Also people don’t tend to get a friend simply based on sexuality.

Because some people are different than others. Could just be a personality thing not necessarily revolving around not wanting to be friends with them bc they're gay, possible it's just because they don't feel compatible with them as a person enough to be friends with them

Maybe because they're concerned that if gay guys had crushes on them it would make their friendships too complicated. That's my educated guess

The same reason straight women are not interested in being friends with lesbian women. You cannot really trust such people to the core.

Most gay guys I know are quite feminine, that's not something I like to be around, but I make the exception for females (mainly because I'm sexually interested in them). You also don't see me hanging out with women that I'm not interested in.
