Why do my guy friends still try to get with me even though they know i’m gay?

my friend has know that i’m gay for quite a few months, and he knows that i have a girlfriend as well. i had to stay over at his house for a few days while my parents were out of town, and he took this time to make multiple moves on me. it made me so uncomfortable, because i thought he was different. and i trusted him with a lot. it wouldn’t be much different even if i was straight and had a boyfriend, because he still wouldn’t be respecting that i had a relationship. however, the fact that i’m openly gay and he KNOWS this and that i have a girlfriend, why would he still try?

The fact that you're gay, to me is irrelevant in this situation. The fact that you're not into guys at all... is just the icing on this asshats stupid-cake. I'm a straight guy. I've got a lot of female friends. They don't have to worry about me making moves on them... because they're friends. I spent this past New Years at the apartment of a single, straight, attractive woman. Drinking, just her and I until the wee hours. There was no sexual tension. She's one of my best friends.

Ok so let's say it was a different female friend. Let's say I misinterpret something... and were to make a move on a female friend. She says "no"... what kind of asshole would I have to be... to TRY AGAIN?

That's supposed to be a FRIEND... and he doesn't respect you enough to take no for an answer? EVERYONE should respect you enough to take 'no' for an answer. A FRIEND is supposed to have your back when some asshole doesn't take no for an answer. A friend cannot be that asshole who doesn't take no for an answer. It's a contradiction. It's impossible.

A Friend doesn't do that. Anyone who does that isn't a friend.

If you were single, how disrespectful would it be for him to set you up with another GUY... considering he's your friend... and knows you don't like guys? Pretty disrespectful right? Just an asshole thing to do... to his lesbian friend. Seems to totally deny who you are. From a friend? hell no.

It's a tough question.
