A plot twist perhaps? 🤔 Perhaps being emotional is normal and men deviate away from it (in the name of "toxic masculinity") and convert most emotions into rage or whatever is "socially acceptable", thus men are the crazy ones, not the women.
There are multiple things going on in society that is essentially making our males less and less worthy of being 'men'. Particularly of influence include the increase of absent fathers in the daily life of young men, the emasculation of youth sports, the public school system, a dip in testosterone levels, and society's endless barrage of attacks on men, in general.
Today you have a male population with too many members not having the opportunity to understand what true masculinity is and instead are left to learn themselves what it is to be a man. Now, thanks to society's ignorance and this pseudo-masculinity, all masculinity has been deemed as a toxic trait. The Gillette ad is a perfect example of society's attack on masculinity.
Many of these young men are left looking to fill this void on their own, somehow. The result, less education, spend too much time competing in online PvP games, and seeking out more masculine role-models. For example, Jordan Peterson and his lectures or the idiot 'tough guy' in the corner.
I had 2 questions posted here the other day and the responses surprised me. The question was the same except aimed at individual genders. Is it your fault your single? The men were open to the possibility it was their fault. I got something like 40 responses and in these 40 like 2-4 tried to argue semantics like it’s not a “fault” to be single. Meanwhile on the women’s side only 10 responses and nearly all of them except 1-2 were arguing semantics with me. I was name called and called a misogynist…
It was an interesting experience seeing the complete difference in responses.
I believe anybody can get “crazy” if pushed to their limit. I have always been pretty calm and never thought I can be filled with so much rage- until I was in a relationship with my ex. He mentally and emotionally abused me. Would cheat but then show so much love. He was extremely toxic and manipulative and it affects a person in different ways. I think when people are pushed passed a limit- their inner crazy comes out. Men and women.
I say it depends on what you mean by that and the situation. Both genders in general are and can be crazy. Especially in this day and age. Only some of the sane ones are trying to maintain our sanity, yet sadly there will always be the few people who bring out the worse in you.

Here is the thing that is crazy... and that is generalizing all men or all women as being this or that. It's both a well known fallacy and contradiction in logic that invalidates your assumption and proves it wrong. Since, you can't prove that in general everyone is like that and all I need is one example that is not to prove you wrong.
This is taught in both the Maths and in Business School... they seriously pound that particular fallacy in your head, since it is so easy to avoid doing... just by adding the word "most" or any other word that narrows the scope.
However, I personally think that men and women are much more alike than we care to admit... Some of us can be crazy and take our emotions and use them to fuel our rage... while others tend to be stupid enough to believe what they read without even considering differing perspectives.
The good thing is that some of us realize that we are humans and that ensures that we have so much in common that we can use to relate with other... rather than just focus on our differences that we so carelessly let divide us.
Men and women think and feel differently. That's why we view each other as crazy. different thought process and pattern. What gets men and women agreeing? Logic. But when you are talking from emotions both bump heads a lot in arguments and fights. In some ways we even view love and loyalty differently. Men are more prone to anger quickly and women are more prone to feel sadness as a first response emotion. Our brains have slight deviations and then you have a different hormonal chemical balance. Relationships mostly fail because of miscommunication. If a person lacks empathy expect a lot of failures in love and romance.
What is it they say. " the definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over again hoping for a different result".
Maybe, we are all crazy for wanting to find someone to happy in love with.
Honestly I don't know anymore. I used to think women were crazy, then I was crazy, then I tried being more open, more sensitive, more vulnerable, more direct more straight forward and that ended up being worse.
We are all crazy in search of that special type of crazy.
I worked retail for a while. Woman are the crazies. They become belligerent at little things. Even if it's their fault, they make it the employees fault or the stores fault. And woman are masters at passive-aggressive.
I only saw on guy get belligerent, wildly belligerent. I guess he was a control freak. It was a family matter occurring in the store. Fortunately some cop were in the store. He left in handcuffs.
According to psychologists - even female ones -- most of the people with problems are women. The number of women with problems has only increased since they started competing with men for jobs. It turns out that women don't handle stress as well as men -- my words. What feminists say is "men and women handle stress differently". He can take 100 times more stress than her and still function tho. Even if it kills him sooner.
I pick what? Because let’s be honest being a human doesn’t have any type of gender roles.. the only problem why emotions and certain behaviors/actions is painted as gender based roles.. is because of the government.. who want everyone to place themselves in labels.. you as a man should own your emotions.. DON’T listen to these women who say “Men are weak” when in reality some (NOT ALL) want to be known as taking over the world as women but be the main ones crying and some don’t even know how to defend themselves because they are in a trans of a woman shouldn’t defend herself a man should “WHICH IS A LIE”
And anyone who unironically uses the term "toxic masculinity" (whether that includes OP or not) is immediately dismissed as anyone worth taking seriously or treating as intelligent.
(Most) women are crazy and irrational, (most) men are absurd and ridiculous, and most human beings are total idiots.

who gets caught murdering, abusing, and assaulting their partners more? men. women are seen as crazy for how they act men should be seen as crazy for what they do. they’re also more emotional. reject a man over text and the next 10 mins he’ll be calling you names like slut and ugly like we’re still in school.
"Toxic Masculinity" is a slur, not how they never under any circumstance admit "Toxic Femininity". To women, being woman is perfect, they view all other life as inferior and pathetic, that's why they can rip an unborn child limb from limb and feel nothing. Empathy is a male emotion.
Yeah, everyone's got feelings, emotions. Some are just considered more 'socially acceptable' to one gender, than another expression of feelings. You're right about men and anger. But it's not a real poll or q, is it. So no big deal.
I generally tend to agree with you... other than I feel that women are more prone to focus their emotions emotions into rage. I couldn't help but wonder why I would see it that way and you the other... Other than the fact that i'm basically surrounded with women, much more than with men. Thus, I would proportently notice more women who do so, than men... who are basically not even around. Hey, being born male in my family is actually quite rare. I was just curious if you were surrounded by more men than women?
@Jaumet Hmm. Well I'm not around a ton of people, and it's a pretty equal mix of genders, and the people I have been around have generally been pretty civilized. I don't know how-tempered people, and I wouldn't ever be close to them. I really don't know people who go into rages, but I know yelling. And there's a difference between raising one's voice and acting out physically. I think - and I don't have any references or studies to back this up, so bear with me - that women tend to be miffed more easily by trivial things (it's their interpretation of others' words and actions/behaviour, etc. that they don't like or agree with), and men tend to let more things go, and/or don't outwardly react to them. Well, women don't react either, unless it's someone they're close to, then they will definitely tell them they're upset/mad. But men, when they get hurt, or feel slighted, I do think they get more angry about it. Anger is a more accepted emotion from men than it is from women. (Although everyone sort of gets derided for it.)

Women have the ability to be emotional because evolutionarily they were protected and in groups of other women where sharing their emotions was possible and allowed them to bond and help each other. but men could not be emotional because they were needing to provide and protect so getting emotional would make them weak and therefore they would die.

I think more men are mentally crazy and more women are physically crazy. I used to think it was the other way around but women know they can get away with beating on a man while a man can be easily accused of being physically abusive
That's rather the opposite, at least for most, considering hormones impacts. But indeed some can get away while beating out, however, that applies in both ways. Guys do are physically more aggressive because of social stuffs as well as hormonal stuffs. But since it is that way, they're not able to hide it much long. While the other way tends to be more emotionally/psychologically focused and therefore are more about bullying without physically hitting.
Women beating out guys are not so uncommon though, but, less than men. That being a result of social construction as well as said earlier, hormonal conditions. Testosterone makes you way more aggressive physically for example.
But in both ways, it can go far, really far. I've myself seen wives going that path and pushing it so far that their husband just decided to end their lives. The are many other slight differences but the biggest one is, guys are more physical, girls are more psychological/emotional (basically just quite more "subtle" i'd say) when heading to hurting others.

Women are actually able to destroy lives (or end them up) by going that psychological/emotional path. There is nothing about guys not being able to react emotionally, they just are more headed to angriness at the very first reaction (depending on the situation obviously) then emotional, women are more about the other way around. That's it.

Social constructions have pretty much no impact on people who aren't followers aside from annoyance or obstruction when disagreeing with the majority, and hormones have no impact on being a follower, or any other choice (aside from horniness level).

Lol no. It takes a lot for me to get mad, and my testosterone is through the roof. Meanwhile I know women who get raging mad at the drop of a hat over the smallest things, but thats because they are stupid, not hopped up on hormones (because I also know women who are as hard to piss off as me, and they are just as feminin looking as the ragey ones - also only stupid women tend to get angry or overly emotional during periods from what I've seen)

No it isn't out of context, I was refering to your description under the header, you seem to think being male or having high testosterone in general makes a person less emotional, but thats false.

Incorrect again. Angry then emotional is from being displeased, then becoming exausted, emotional then angry is from being displeased and then figuring out the cause but you can't undo it or it's troublesome to do so. often both happens in the span of minutes or hours.
Granted those are just examples, given time I might think of more, but the point is reactions are situational, and reliant on what information the person has, not their hormone levels or gender.
Point is, it's logical vs illogical, not men vs women in an accurate comparison.
Not really. We are just more sensitive to how we are being treated and are well aware depending on the situation that we should be treated a certain way. We again are sensitive. If a lot of men aren't showing to have empathy, and you deal with the abuse by others, anybody would start going by the emotions more. Because especially when intuition comes into play, we start to rely on the innate insight that comes with it. Especially if this is a constant experience. It is a lot of men who haven't been taught how to handle these emotional situations that many have been falsely told to be uncomfortable with. And that women are only good for sex and kids and nothing else. Is that not toxic as it is? Any healthy man would think that it is crazy to treat the opposite sex poorly. Otherwise, most women wouldn't feel the need to do whatever it takes for survival. Women are very capable of thinking and acting rationally. However, some of us are more feelers like myself than thinkers. However, for my personality, I have a balance of both or prefer both. I think what it is is that through about 30 years of my life, I have found out that men and young boys are not well adapted in understand how to connect, communicate and even relate to their female peers. And if you grew up with toxic people or were taught wrong, let alone been separated by those your own age, it would make sense why you have certain biases, depending on what the reasons are.
@btbc92 That intuitional insight is a complex web of raw, haphazard, and typically emotional relations. The unconscious mind is powerful, but also often irrational.
If you rely on intuition over reason, you are making emotional decisions. And yes that's often going to lead to you acting crazily.
And yes, it's hard to know how to relate to someone that is irrational unless you are irrational in exactly the same way. Unspoken rules and the conspiracy-theory-like relations between things developed by your intuition aren't something you can look up. Especially when they're unique to you personally.
INFJs do npt rely on emotions to make decisions. Intuition is not the same as emotions. I go based on spiritual, information, people's body language and also environmental. I know hoe to separate my emotions crom sensing and discerning in the spirit.
Just like you can touch and feel your desk, or you feel nausea or a headache. Intuition is not the same thing. Its not emotional even if you are an emotional person. You have to have knowledge and be a person who understands both the spiritual and the physical aspects of things. That isn't always natural for some people. Before me I can utilize both ends. I never liked using my emotions like that to be making rational decisions. But what I do utilize is on a different level. I just happened to be extremely sensitive on that end. That again have nothing to do with what we are talking about regarding emotions or a woman. But that women at times tend to be a bit more sensitive regarding on what she makes sense or feel. However for someone like me, that is on a different level. It Is by no way being irrational. What it is is that you don't really believe that something as such and actually more than what you think you your hearing about because to you is basically myth. Your words that you use such as irrational, conspiracy theory like relations, pretty much say that you don't believe anything that's basically told to you. That doesn't make you rational. that just make you a person who is not open to hearing. And let me tell you something you're not to settle and trying to say that I'm a crazy person. I would highly respect you more if you just be more direct instead of acting like you're being nice about it.
No one is crazy for there gender. If you get too emotional as a man the logical side of your brain get blocked off. We can't function like that and women aren’t crazy for there emotions either. If It isn't broke dont fix it
What? Both genders have crazy people. There are more borderline girls but men lead in passive-aggressive personalities which accumulate their anger until they run amok at some point.
Women are the crazy ones period. Women are the crazy psychos and men are the toxic cheaters. Then there’s so men and women who aren’t like either of those, but they’re hard to find since they’re both tired of being played
