I am also curious why you ask if men are needed? Your in a prime time were we all have a role to play in how are society blossoms and how children come to grow. We all are human in the end and have the ability to make amazing changes. So may men not necessarily be needed, humans themselves aren't either. Though in a way we are needed, if we could stop destroying this world and each other and help it blossom. A lot of things would be different if our focus was on being compassionate towards each other and everything on this planet. Instead most people care about meaningless things being that we grew up learning to care about meaningless things.
I do what I can and it's not good enough for the big picture, living for myself is selfish and I can't live up to the expectations. I want to do what only I can do to prove usefulness

We all lead lives and for many a ounce of distractions is based on our individuality not just our capabilities. Why does this matter? Who you are can create healing points for others and in this moment your mine. There is no need for death or anarchy simply a change of mind and shift in societal upbringing. It's going to take a lot of time before it gets to this point though. Of course men are actually needed. They aren't needed for their money or for their strength. They aren't needed for breeding purposes or to do the jobs that others won't do. They are needed because they provide a balance to who we are as women. They are incomplete without us just as we are incomplete without them. I don't even mean that in a sexual way. I don't even sleep with guys, but even I know the benefits that guys offer in being that counterbalance.

And that's fine if you don't but it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Take gender away for a moment. Lets just look at two women. One might be ultra femme while another might be more masc. They are both female but they provide differing takes on feminity. Guys do the same from their end and those have a different take altogether on masculinity vs feminity. If you are talking about individual items then it is nearly impossible because someone out there can always provide a trait or service the opposite gender provides. If we are talking about as a gender on the whole and the likelihood that gender could accomplish something the other couldn't then more examples come around.

Ok it is very simple actually. When men are passionate about something then they will do it no matter what happens and they could sustain what the society thinks about them but for women they are soft and they live for others not for themselves and most likely have second thoughts on their decision. So it tells that women care what others think about her but men do what they feel right and are strong to sustain it. I'm not saying that women are weak but I think the question about gender doesn't really matters much. I didn't say they couldn't do those things, but how many female car mechanics have you met? In my case, zero, they've ALL been men. Same with electricians and plumbers. I work in the automotive industry and have met plenty of female technicians, same with a lot of other blue collar jobs.
That's my point, if men were gone women CAN take those roles over. So those aren't things that men alone can do. Therefore we don't NEED men for that. NEED means them and along can do it.

Men are an important part of the family. I had a father, and a good one. He played a very important role in my life and I wouldn't change that for anything.
What did he do that a mother could not though.
I can't talk about ALL fathers, but MINE was a sweet, affectionate dad. He always gave me counsel and advice on important things, and he always taught me about right and wrong. I had a very conflicted relationship with my mom as a kid and teen and without my dad I wouldn't have made it.
