He looked away when I smiled at him?

My colleague at my new job seems to be sort of shy. He is very sweet, when we had to evacuate the building he gave me his coat because it was raining. When we are talking he looks right into my eyes for a few seconds and then looks away. He fidgets a lot and always seems to hiccup around me.

Today I had my mask off…he glanced at me and I smiled at him, he then quickly looked away. What does this mean?

Well as I can tell this man seems to be very shy as you stated, and maybe he is afraid to show his emotions towards you or is scared of giving signs that he might be interested in you :)

Most shy people have a hard time showing their emotions with people so don't over think it ;)

He likes you but he's extremely shy so he doesn't know how to react around you. Take things slow and try talking to him but know he likes you
