I admitted to this guy that it is in the back of my head that I do want to ghost him (only because he's made me mad a couple of times and seems like he's playing games). I hurried and switched it up saying I' m not a ghoster, if I don't like someone I will tell them to their face but he just became distant with me ever since I said that.

Well you did admit to a thought you had, however, he should take it as a hint that you're serious and not looking for anything casual. If he doesn't reply back then he probably was just looking for someone to play with and nothing to commit to. :(

I don't know what other reaction you expected, it's not something you should have said in my opinion. He may keep in touch but it's normal that he feels more reluctant to talk now.
