So these guy at work... Wheni look at them i can tell they have genuine affection for me


But they crush my dreams. They may not know it. I am sensitive.

I learned to act casual with them and have started joking around back with them.

I see genuine affection in their eyes. So I cannot hurt them r shun them.

It's not a good thing that they have affection for you but not notice they are crushing your dreams.

If you joke back with them they think that everything they are doing is okay with you.

I have learned the hard way that sacrificing what you want to get something smaller in the moment does not help in the long run.

I think that I see what you mean. I feel like I am a fake person. I change and put on fake personas but I believe them to be real.

I see it as you are trying to adapt to the situation around you because people like you a certain way.

Yes exactly. They dont want to hear from the real me. They wanted someone else and she showed up.

Now you need to slowly show them who the real you is, and making sure they understand what you won't tolerate anymore.

I tried to tell them stop early on. It didn't work. As i said i believed i am what I've become to suit them. I feel the damage is done. Dead end street. Only way out is to run away

It sucks to hear that they are like that. I work with people who I feel don't accept me for who I am. So I know how that feels.

Thats why I come here, to find people who like me for me.

I try to be helpful to people. And they probably see it as me being overly helpful. And they don't like that, so I feel like they don't accept me.
