Don't men usually date a woman for a while before asking her to be his girlfriend?

I've been talking to this guy I met on a dating app last month. And he is now asking me to be his girlfriend and we haven't even met yet. We've even talked about sex I am the one who mentioned it not him. Now he's asking me to be his girlfriend. We are planning to meet in a couple of days. But I don't know what to think.

That's very very early of him mentioning/asking that. In my experience I don't even bring it up. I wait until the woman asks me and than when I responded with "Yes you're my girlfriend" or something like that, it felt right each time that way. It was always at least 1 month or more when each woman asked me in different relationships.

He sounds rather clueless, probably with little experience dating. You are probably the first woman that has given him any attention. Don’t rush into anything. I’m guessing he doesn’t have much of a social life.

It's just very quick, you haven't even had a proper date yet and he's asking for a relationship, for me it's way too soon.
