Why do some boys not like to post on social media?

So my boyfriend has never ever been a poster on social media. He has a post of me on his instagram and i've been on his story once. I know he doesn't mean anything by this as he post once a year max tbh. Anyways it comes to v day and he posts me on his private snapchat story- yes i appreciate he's even posted me but why couldn't that go on his main etc? I think i am just overthinking this but like what? Why doesn't he ever want to post me? I post him on my story all the time, especially when we get up to some super cute or adventurous things!

not attention seeking at all- makes me feel like he's embarrassed of me, hiding me or like ashamed of us. Sadly in today's society social media is a big part of our lives and does affect us.

2. One possible reasoning is that he doesn't want extra attention. People close to him probably know about you and he values you. He does not want unnecessary attention (some guys love to flex their girls, some don't. I am personally someone who does not like to seek attention)
3. Let me ask you a question "do you show off your valued items to everyone?" (It's kinda like "you are my treasure and treasures are kept private")
4. Even if you think that i am being a moron about this, i would recommend not judging him for this. See his actions in the "offline" world.

Yeah I am aware of the social media craze. It's annoying to be honest. (Especially when someone clicks photos of what they are eating, just eat the damned thing).
