This happened to me a few seconds ago. It’s so bizarre someone would think to send this, this was on Reddit and my Reddit bio literally says MINOR 🔞to make sure creeps don’t dm but I still get dms like this.
Men will constantly lie about their age to try and talk to minors and it’s not ok. This person thought they were slick since they sent me the first dm a few months back and I ignored it

It's beyond screwed up. There should be serious charges that come from doing it. Also I don't think those guys realize what kind of crap they might be getting themselves in. If you think a mom can be protective of their girl, some dads are 10x times that. So if dad finds out what they did, the girls dad might show up on their door step.
My younger brother had his wife had a girl and that is daddy's girl. You better believe he is going to meet every guy she is interested in once she hits high school and he is going to "kindly" let them know that they better not mess with her. Because he will not be too happy about it. I can see him giving a guy pulling that kind of crap with my niece getting a surprise visit and it won't be a nice one.

Men do the same thing that women do in a broad sense. They do it for their own selfish needs. But this is really selfish because that person is willing to take the chance, which is not only wrong, but highly frowned upon in society. Myriad people will proactively go after such.
I feel like guys like this enjoy the youth mentality of the other younger person because they don’t feel adequate and in control or wanted by older, more mature and experienced people their age. So they go after youth because they think they’re stupid and easily manipulated. People may say older guys go after younger women because of fertility etc but I’ve seen older men that are gay also go after younger boys and fake their ages. So I just think it’s predatory and a reflection of how insecure they are, and inadequate they feel amongst people their own age.
Anyone that has to lie about anything regarding themselves is simply insecure. I’m completely secure within myself as my value isn’t attached to public people. Unfortunately you cannot say the same for everyone. My fiancé who’s 15 years my senior put all his cards on the table and is a confident and secure man. Didn’t lie about his age or his possessions, so when I see men and women do this I can only wish they thought higher of themselves. Being phony is stupid. You will be found out eventually.

I do not understand it either. I always use my real age because I don't want to have to keep up with the lies. I try to be honest from the start since friendships like anything else are built on trust. I do admit to having friends that are minors but I stay away from any conversations that are sexual in nature with them.

I have never lied about my age. My age is my age. I expect people to take that I am 76 years old sooner or later the truth will come out and you're standing there with egg on you face. I talk to older and younger the same If someone asks my age, I tell them I don't want them to like me because they think I am older I want then to like me or not for who I am.
Im gonna assume you may have been on r/teenagers where most of all the creepy old guys reside, and if so, it could be because they see a select group on their being overly horny, and tryna hook up with them. You can always just tell the guys you aren't interested. Truth be told most men prefer younger women, while most women prefer older men. I don't know why but it is pretty common.

Young women are attracted to young men for the same reason why men are attracted to younger women. Young men in their 20-30s have better and healthier offspring. They're also more capable of defending their offspring.
When people talk about a man's physical attractiveness, its usually a young guy with a shining full head of hair, muscular, strong, fast. Its not some old guy who is balding, white hairs, wrinkling losing muscle mass, gaining weight, saggy balls.
If you want to still have a shot at attracting much younger women as an old man, it helps to have a lot , a lot, a lot of money to give to her. But even if you do this, it really won't guarantee love, likely you'll just attract tons of gold diggers. A relationship without physical attraction is a sham.

However, almost certainly, if she is young and beautiful and her husband is 20 years past his prime, she is going to be attracted to young athletic very good looking young men. Then, especially when she is near or ovulating, if she has a very low risk of discovery opportunity, she will take it.
I can tell you from experience that the majority of marriages with gaps over 10 years , tend to encounter lots of problems down the road , particularly for the younger spouse. Research has shown that people married to much older spouses tend to have bugger declines in martial satisfaction and also accelerated aging and death.
I’ve been told by many women who have married significantly older men that it’s not a good idea and they dont recommend that I do something like that.
But often a lot of people end up realizing they’ve made a mistake way too late in life and by then , it’s too late to change course. It’s harder to get remarried as you age so many folks settle for subpar marriages. It’s not that they no longer love their spouses , it’s that they know they could be happier with someone else.

I agree that people "shouldn't DO anything sexual with minors." But I think it's OK to discuss stuff that's sometimes sexual. And I don't mean like that "let me show you my c***" stuff, but like serious discussions that might involve sexual issues sometimes. What I like about being online and on sites like this is that I don't get treated like a moron or an eight-year-old. I would not want to NOT be able to discuss stuff just because I'm not 18.
Now, I have had guys offer to send me pics and some just sent them. I say no and if they are OK with a no, then we can keep talking. If they are OR if they send or say something outrageous, I just block them. So - WHY do they do that stuff or lie about their age (which I don't think has ever happened to me)? I have no idea.
