How would a laid back guy behave if he likes you?

There's a guy whom I like , he's not into texting but he replies if I text he almost got to know about my feelings but he didn't do anything, sometimes he acts awkward around me but sometimes he would be very friendly, but he doesn't flirt or do anything, I had happened to ask about his ideal type and he described my traits ( although in generic sense so I don't want to delude myself) he has a lot of mood swings too. He's too laid back to even make a move should I just understand he doesn't feel the same for me?

No one can answer on that question but yourself. His answering and being nice to you can't be declared that is crazy about you.
You need to give yourself time to work on that question, and how will you do that, keep txting and keep seeing each other and you will catch his vibe.
