It's probably perfectly fine. I don't know why a gay guy would care what color your hair was; unless it was "I want her to look like a man", I don't see why he'd care about your appearance at all. The only thing I'd be worried about is if this was less "Hey, would you mine dyeing your hair [color X]?" and more "You will dye your hair this way now"; a request, even if phrased as a declarative sentence, is a different thing from a demand.
Obviously, your boyfriend is secretly gay since he thinks about how you look.
OR, maybe he doesn't think you're HOT enough the way you are and dyed hair with highlights will look better on you! Maybe he couldn't say this to you. OR, maybe he just thinks you'll look better with them.

Uhhh most likely effeminate at the least. The only guy i know who would ever say anything about fashion or looks, was gay. And all his friends are girls because his lack of masculinity disgusts me..

You know some guys like certain hair styles, doesn't mean he's gay. He just may not like the hair color that your currently have.
That sounds so stupid, if he likes your hair a certain way to make you look beautiful or hot, how does that make him gay?
