Why would a guy at work out of nowhere start picking on me and say randomly a joke while laughing saying 'do you need to get beat up?'?

So i knew him at work (not close just as coworkers loosely) for about a year. Then a few months ago he randomly began to pick on me and annoy me purposefully with his friend. Recently him and his friend were bothering me at the elevator and he said 'do you need to get beat up?' While laughing after i reacted probably with an eyebrow raise.

He also recently stared at me with intense eyes. I never knew he had such a feeling inside him.

I would stay away from that guy. I would feel so uncomfortable and kind of scared he might do something. You don't joke about something like that...

I mean he was laughing so i assume he just has a rude sense of humor. But yeah he doesn't seem like a good guy. Maybe i will just enjoy the attention at work. I dont even have any work friends outside work.

by the way Have you noticed women have blue colored names and men have pink now?

Gotcha. Yeah i dont remember a guy irl ever saying someting like that to me except my abusive dad. Which reminds me... Yeah i was always afraid of my dad. Soo... Maybe you have a point xD

Ugh it just sucks cause he's a coworker you can't really stay away from. But i do my best. I ignore him now.
