If he's your hookup, then that implies you're only in the "relationship" for the sex. If you aren't having sex, or not having it often, then he either is also seeing other girls or he's not attracted to you (more likely the former than the latter). If he was your hookup and he wasn't attracted to you, he'd just stop seeing you, because what would be the point of being your hookup if he wasn't attracted to you?

I'm not saying that absolutely every guy is rational, but assuming he is, then it makes no sense for him to hook up with you if he's not attracted to you.
