Guys, does it intimidate you if your girlfriend or someone you're interested in has a better car than you?

She was saving the money, she's no maniac but she quite likes cars. Always wanted a nice car to own...

I wonder whether guys feel a bit under pressure or intimidated when this situation happens.

I could afford a newer or nicer or more powerful car without much of an issue, but I like my car, it's fast enough, gets decent mileage, is comfortable, reliable, and inexpensive to maintain. I enjoy seeing other people's cars, and even driving them sometimes, but I'm perfectly happy with the cars I have, and I'm not jealous or intimidated by other people's cars.

In my 20s, all my friends were buying new cars (I've never bought a brand new car) - I saved my money and bought a house instead. This meant I continued to drive older used cars - and I wouldn't change a thing. I'm not looking to impress anyone - I couldn't care less what most people think about what I drive. I also know all too well that a lot of people who are driving way nicer cars than mine are also DEEP in debt - I'm debt-free.

I’m fine with her being a billion times better than me regarding absolutely anything and everything. lol What matters is that she still loves simple ol’ me. :)
