Yes, and what romance looks like to me is a combination of intimacy, chemistry, passion, innovation, and growth.

I put intimacy first, because to me that is the most exciting and unique aspect of romance, that really makes it special. You can have intimacy with friends and family, be really close and connected and honest. But the additional aspect of sexual connection with romantic connections brings a whole new meaning to intimacy.

One simple example is eye contact. I love to have slow sex with intense, near-constant eye contact. That connection of every possible fiber of our being, from our skin to our eyes is really special to me. When you see the effect of common movement reflected in your lover's eyes, this dance is one I enjoy for long periods of time. It's so much more fulfilling on a deep level to me than the basic fast pounding of more physically focused sex.

    https://www.youtube.com/embed/LFMyWPcdWY0

I added some things like innovation and growth, because to me the best romance will have depth and be sustained over time. I had a lot of falling in and out of love over and over when I was younger. It is an addicting feeling to meet someone new and know nothing about them, but to believe the best and fill any gaps with an ideal fantasy. The truth is that no one is perfect, but the true intimacy comes from working through the challenges and being stronger for it on the other side.

Romance means learning about the other person, connecting with them, focused on them and living to delight them. On the other side, it's either reciprocated intentionally, or their existence is a delight. The best is when who you are delights your lover, and who they are delights you, it doesn't require you to mold yourself or for them to change to fit you. The joy of supporting the other person and loving and trusting them to continue to make their own choices, just to be a part of their experience. This kind of touches on something interesting I've heard people talk about girls with "daddy issues" and to be honest, I've seen it a lot in my relationships, I'm a bit of a "daddy". But it makes perfects sense to me, who wouldn't want someone who is loving and supporting of you, who sees you as their "princess" and just wants you to be happy? This is what happens when women don't get support from their fathers or men in their lives, but then they find a guy who isn't trying to control them or constantly criticize. Someone who only asks from them to be themselves, and wants to help them grow in their own unique way. It's what I offer, and what I want in return.

Romance can vary greatly and I’ve been through varies ways, it’s understanding the other person, not doing the same old thing, being original to the person you are romancing,

for example the if I gave the below to a certain someone, they would think it amazing and be so loved up. It’s different to roses and a meal out, however I know it would bring a lovely glow for them knowing what it means.

It doesn’t take much to keep us men happy , all a guy wants in a relationship is to feel wanted and respected and a girl that stays loyal to him but girl’s usually don’t grasp that because she needs a whole list of things for her to feel that way and her emotional needs to be met completely to have sex with him and then it turns into a battle , for no reason what so ever. When sex becomes an issue in a relationship that’s when things start to go bad , what most girls don’t realize is sex is very important to a man , it’s his way of feeling she appreciates him and admires him and his way of showing her he loves and appreciates her , but when he feels like he is the only one initiating it and is constantly being shut down , he will start to lose interest in her and feel that he isn’t good enough for her or that she is looking elsewhere , or she has her eyes set on someone else , his ego and masculine energy starts to fade because he feels he isn’t appreciated and wanted anymore and feels she doesn’t find him attractive anymore , when she is never in the mood and comes up with so many excuses to why she doesn’t want sex leaving him frustrated and moody, and hurt inside , he will start to resent her , little does she know she is opening doors for him to be more open to accepting another girl’s invitation , When a girl learns to respect her man and removes her selfishness for him and makes him feel wanted he will turn into the man that she wants , but when she nags at him and criticizes him and makes him feel worthless and less of a man and attacks his ego , he will eventually realize she is not the girl for him and be drawn to another girl that makes him feel like a man, I am not saying she has to give him sex everyday but it shouldn’t be a mission for him to get there , A guy loves a girl that comes to him , when she walks over to him and sits on his lap and looks into his eyes and shows she adores him , he will feel she appreciates him and that to do list she has planned in her head that she wants done around the house will be completed , but when she holds sex as a weapon towards him he will complete that to do list when it’s convenient to him , Relationships only work when 2 people remove selfishness for each other and wear each other’s shoes , making each other your number 1 priority , if you can’t do that for each other your relationship will end , Selfishness is the biggest relationship killer, Selfishness is when you make
Decisions for yourself without including your partner , Just because you might think something is ok , it might not be ok for your partner , most girl’s have a tough time grasping that concept , Just remember if it’s not ok for
Your partner to do then it isn’t ok for
    You to do

I think most guys do - certainly not all guys though. If you think about it, guys are actually the ones doing most of the romantic things, and while to some degree it's because we know girls like it, a lot of us like doing it too.

It's just that it can be tough for us to be romantic all the time when we are facing the stresses in life. Whether it's tough at work, or we have a sick relative, or the car's been unreliable, or the roof is leaking on the house, or whatever it may be, it's hard for us to be romantic under stress - we really have to be able to relax first, and sometimes that's just not possible.

This is one of the reasons why a lot of guys are a lot more romantic on a get-away vacation - if we can carve out that time away from our external problems, and we can relax, then we have the right energy and mindset to be romantic with you. We can enjoy a nice dinner, go for a walk, maybe catch some live music, or just snuggle together. Believe me, most guys would like to be able to do that a lot more often than we actually are able to, but it can be a struggle at times.

I absolutely love Romance it's one of the most beautiful things you can do with another human being

If you connect with somebody and I'm talking about energy Within your every touch your every look just the way you would softly and slowly drag your lips across her lips are down her cheek to her neck it has to be so very slow motion no matter if you're standing up or laying in a bed it doesn't make a difference cuz you're floating together you ever seen in a room with somebody smoking a cigarette and the smoke going up in the air and just whirling that's what it feels like every touch and ever kiss

Or no matter where you're at grabbing and holding of her hand and putting her so tight up against you just to kiss her just to make out

Maybe a very slow deep massage to every inch of her body maybe laying it have it in the middle of the Black Rock Desert and just looking at the stars and you swear they're 20 feet above you

Or maybe just giving her a hot bubble bath with a big ocean sponge

Or maybe it's just the way you look into her eyes you talk to her without even talking
Or maybe just out in the middle of nowhere this music comes on. And you start 2 slow dance
It's basically being someplace doing something together headed to spur of the moment make her feel loved and how much you love her in any natural way the you have to do it and when it's real it's beautiful

    Yes!
But it’s different for all of us.
Sadly I didn’t know what I personally saw as romantic till recently. 20 years of my adult life I’ve missed out on what I feel is romantic.
So if you meet a guy that doesn’t believe in romance or that love exists for him; than exploring this with him might be the most romantic thing he will ever receive.
Start out with finding there love language. That will be a good baseline to gage.
    Examples:
Personally I’m a nature guy so take me for a trail run to the top of a ridge line and than just taking a moment to be together, go trad climbing with me, skiing down a mellow slope with fresh powder teasing each other playing grab ass, be brought a warm cup of coffee and told to “sit down for a minute” while working on a home improvement in the morning instead of “are you done yet.” Bring me live poted plants (flowers) to help liven up my home. Rub my head and shoulders while I’m sitting in a chair yea pet me like a dog. Gifts this is still a hard one for me but things for hobbies is safe. Not being romanced has made me resentful in my 15 year relationship, but it’s not her fault I didn’t even know what romance looked like for me or that I wanted it.

    Honestly?

I talk a lot of shit, but nothing matters to me more than love.

I don't get into a relationship for sex, I feel that sex is the ultimate way to express your love for someone. I've only ever given myself to girls I've loved and it's been beautiful each time.

    Romance is extremely fucking rare.
You have to have emtional compatibility, sexual compatibility, and of course, romantic compatibility. If you're lacking in one of these areas it will hurt the others.

You have to strike gold to find someone where you connect in all the ways necessary to be able to both fall in love with each other. And when you can trust each other? Life becomes poetry. Literally nothing will ever feel the same again, because everything is better. Love is a crazy powerful energy that pours into every other aspect of your life and builds you up into the person you're meant to be, and does the same for your partner.
At least that's what's love looks like when you do it right.

If you do it wrong, love can be an unhealthy addiction to someone who pulls you down and makes you worse. A parasite, and it's love you feel for them that keeps you trapped in that nightmare.

One has to be so careful in choosing who they trust themselves with as love can be either ugly and damaging or beautiful and life affirming depending on how love happens.

Be careful out there guys, make the right choices and don't settle for less than you deserve.

For me it would be just long cuddle sessions and at home dates where I can chase my hobby of cooking and then know I can get hugged. And if possible let my other half maybe only need to part time work. Rent a small place and just enjoy the little things together. Don't need something super fancy. Do like candle light dinners and cheesey little things. With the pandemic and all I've kinda just realized I wanna live for the moment over thinking of the future. Life is too short to think about trying to just have a long life. Being rich doesn't even mean your happy.

Men are romantics at heart, but guarded. Given today's standards and dating, they need to be more careful than ever.

Men want women that are feminine, sweet, can smile and genuinely want to be with them for who they are. They don't want to be with a woman who is constantly in their face, nagging or trying to create drama or challenging everything they say and do.

To me, a woman who is supportive, loving, affectionate, ambitious, sharing of goals, takes care of herself and wants to build a world with me is a keeper. Which I have thankfully found.

For me romance is more a long-term goal than a short-term one and at this moment it would not be convenient for any parties involved

Romance in my eyes is relative to the situation and the people involved

For a rather witty but related example if I were to say I love your long flowing red hair that would be considered a nice thing to say right? Well if that woman is bald then that's actually an absolutely horrible thing to say.

One thing I would feel to be a romantic date at least in my eyes would be TV on the couch after eating a nice home cooked meal naturally I would cook the meal since I like to cook

Anyway I'm tired and can't think anymore so that's all I got to say

I do, yes. And it looks like this: Sharing joy about falling in love, having an emotional experience and being honest about it, expressing those feelings in words; being vulnerable, and being soft and tender in return; *kissing*, *mutual eye gazing* (AFTER we've had the verbal conversation, so we actually know what the nonverbal one means); touching each other's faces, touching each other's hair; hugging tightly; holding hands; singing to one another, and singing WITH one another; her jumping on me and tackling me; her laying her head on my shoulder; snuggling, cuddling; philosophical musings, poetry, dreaming together; climbing a mountain, running through a meadow, standing in the crashing waves; writing love letters; speaking to one another in formal English, speaking in Olde English, speaking in Spanish, speaking in Italian, speaking in French; *dancing*; and having missionary sex.

Guys absolutely want romance. For me it's the glint in her eye when our eyes meet, it's the small smile that graces her mouth when she looks at me across the room, it's knowing I can be vulnerable with her and trust her with every part of me physically, mentally and emotional, it's hugs that feel right and last for a minute or two or more because it's a safe, loving, comfortable and perfect place to be in each other's arms, it's talking for hours on end about everything and nothing, it's enjoying just time being just in the same space with her, it's the spark of excitement I feel each time I see her walk in the room and it's the thrill I feel each time our lips meet.

To a degree… guys don’t watch romantic movies and read romantic books targeted to them.. that mostly targeted to the women.. so a woman’s mind for romance is skewed with romantic fantasy fiction and things that’s how real life should be.. just like how some men watch porn and think that’s how sex should be.. those books and movies are the romantic porn women love.. but it’s all fiction and fantasy. The world isn’t like that and men aren’t supposed to be like that. So to answer your question, yes, but not in the way women see it.

romance is a nice dinner and having a good evening whether seeing a movie or sitting at home. and In the winter making love on the mattress in front of the fireplace when it's really cold outside or during the summer in the upstairs bedroom with the windows open making love and taking our sweet time about it.

Romance to me is that exciting feeling of being a couple, being in love and inseparable. always wanting to kiss no matter where you are, and always touching each other, holding hands, caring for each other, protecting each other. Feeling like you're addicted to that person and not happy unless she's with you. Craving each other, being attracted to everything about her. Feeling attached and doing whatever it takes to be together.

Romance, as portrayed by Paedowood, is mostly a female fantasy and is over-rated.
My favourite love language was to spoon with a woman for whom I cared deeply, and to stroke her gently as she drifted off to sleep. After she was asleep, I would whisper to her subconscious that I loved her.

I am a romantic at heart and I can't put this simple answer into words.

Its the little bitty things you do for someone you care about.

Like give into their whims and cares, even though you think their nuts

Treat and show them love in goofy silly ways

I often wanted to hold a woman in my arms, and make her feel safe.
Brush off her tears with my fingers, if she is sad or hurt.
    To protect her from harm.

That was what I used to think about romance when I was 18/19.

Now I don't give a crap about romance.
I'm set on my own journey and purpose.

    Men don't be romantic, it's a distraction.
    Rise above, focus on yourself.

Depends on your definition of romance. I can't stand the kind of romance you see in romance novels.. But I love to do things for my wife, like cook for her, take care of her when she is sick.. And go on activities together, like the drive in theater, or out to dinner.. Or cuddling on the couch at home. I've also done dinner on the beach.

Romance as shown in movies only exists outside marriage; or within the honeymoon period for couples who have not spent time together before getting married.

Once you are married and settled amd going on with daily crazy life, romance comes in more subtle things. eg: talking nice about your man, in front of kids and others; appreciating your man's ideas and effort; giving attention to stories and jokes the spouse has to tell. etc... and it goes both ways.

Yes, but every person is different. I'm introverted, so where some guys would be very happy with a "date" to like a concert of a band they like.. I would be stressed af being like.. fuck me, I actually have to go all the way there? I rather hang on the couch together with a comfy blanket and hot choco.

My man loves when I bring him the tv remote, a sandwich, a cold glass of milk, and a blanket for when he's done eating and can curl up on the couch.

The best part? I go off and do my own thing so he can watch his space boat shows alone.

A spontaneous natural (not faked) bright smile when you see each other any time of the day or night, no matter what else is going on in your life. A feeling of complete emotional safety without any doubts. Raging lust for your partner and knowing that it is reciprocated! ... The list is endless.. but then, I'm and have always been a hopeless romantic! :-)

Someone to love, Honor, and trust. Somone to depend upon. Someone to be there for you in thick and thin. Someone to laugh with, cry with. Someone to trust no matter what. someone to put your arms around. Someone to hold hands with. Someone to go places with.

Mostly spending time with each other. Affection in the form of good conversation or physical touch. This doesn't always mean sex. Sometimes holding hands or having her head on my chest while we watch a movie is perfect.

Some do, some don’t. I like romance a lot. To me it takes all kinds of forms: love poems, notes, candles on the bedside table, a massage, cooking a meal, a bath together, or even taking care of some chores that I know are bothering her.

Just laying down togheter cuddling is romance to me and I like it a lot. Going to a private spa where you have a room with sauna, hottub, a shower and a nice area to hang out and lie down together is the perfect romantic evening for me

It can be a lot of things but the biggest act of romance is wanting sexual intercourse with each other which is why they call it making love. It's the main thing that makes her different than your buddy or sister because you can watch movies or do other things with anybody else

Well, to me romance is just sitting next o each other and being comfortable.
Cuddling maybe? Sitting just like that.

Considering romance as its defined by art/litterature it means wanting peace in nature, being far away from trouble and everyday life. In this case I'd say many guys are romantic who just enjoy being in nature, go for long hikes, travel etc

See romance depends on the man's personality and needs in case, but if I say neutrally, guys do need romance because they want to last long.

I am not kidding, guys need romance to be girls' fav choice forever.

Of course, romance to me is anything along the lines of spending time together. Embracing one another either physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, or any combination. It's just the enjoyment of each other's company coupled with, showing and receiving love, building a strong emotional bond... Even the most simple things can be romantic with the right partner

We want to be wanted. To be desired both personally and physically. To have a woman who gets excited when we come home

So true. Even simply. The expressions of “Oh, good. You’re home.” Does give you warm fuzzies alone.

Most guys, and girls want romance.

In both cases, what they want seems to be what they get (because it's what they chase), but not what they say they want.

Actually romance is a feeling of excitement and mystery associated with love. It’s also a verb which means to court or woo…:

Yes, when used as a verb, it has a specific reference. Does love require romance? Hmm. I don't believe so. Romance to my mind, is like perfume is to the natural scent of a person. In the end, it's just window dressing to create an illusion. That said, it doesn't mean I don't enjoy the scent, but I'm aware that it's just perfume! :-D

    What does romance look like?
Sitting close to eachother.. preferably semi nude... kissing occasionally... talking... sharing dreams /desires and life experience
    How about you?
