Why did these group of guys thought I was a little girl?

I was sitting across on the train from these group of guy that looked late 20s. I was sitting minding my own business and one of them shouted "shut up you will scare the little girl!" But im 29

lol, well maybe you just look young for your age? I had a friend like that and it used to really bother him lol. He was well into his 30's, but kept getting asked for ID everywhere.
