Well, it could be because you look cute (baby-like), or because you do/say/like some childish things _don't get this the wrong way_, or maybe because of your physical appearance and the way you clothe.
As for how to prevent it, I think you should change the way you talk a little bit, for example, try to flirt more, crack some bad jokes, or talk a LITTLE more about things that adults usually talk about such as: Politics, Economy, etc... You can also hint it ((for instance: Why? Do you think I'm 12?! as a joke or something)), or you can simply point it out and tell them.
