Guys, What is your favorite genital/face shaving cream and tool? Do the hairs poke and irritate you when they grow back? How often do you shave?

I had to go to my bathroom and check but I have Shick Shave Guard like this:

I don't think the cream matters that much though. Most important to me is the razor. if safety razor, I like Gilette Mach-3. I don't like quad-blade. My hairs get stuck in there. I don't like dual-blade. I like triple-blade. I'm a triple type of guy and I don't know why, but that sounds cool. Triple-X!

I also use a straight razor and shaving soap if I have a lot of extra time instead of a safety razor. I can also get a closer and nicer shave that way. But I have to go slower.

I have very nice straight razor like this:

... that's for when I have lots of me time to shave all nicely and slowly. If I'm in a hurry though, I just scrape my face super fast with a safety razor. My wife grimaces when I do it but I go super fast and almost never get cut.

For hair poking and irritation, that almost never happens in my case. Well, not almost. I don't think that has ever happened. I cut my lip before sometimes but I don't think I've ever had ingrown hairs or things like that.

I do it once every 2-4 days. I used to do it every single day before COVID lockdown but now only 2-4 days. No one can tell with my mask! :-D I got a bit lazy.

I can get a knife sharp enough to shave the hair off my arms but when I use the straight razor... I'm still scraping the whiskers out.
I drive on to feel manly but... I'm missing something.
Hmm... I bet that last line is one of the problems with men.

@Andres77 If I have very long hairs I never use the straight razor. It's a finesse type of tool for me. If I haven't shaved in a week, I go for the straight razor, and might even do better with an electric one. I think of it in terms of closeness like electric "sorta close", safety "pretty close", and straight "as close as I'll get".

I used to replace it every 3 weeks or so but maybe double or triple since COVID lockdown since I don't use it as much. I just replace when the blue strip on the bottom starts turning white.

I use clippers so I keep a gruff appearance... looks like I shaved yesterday.
And then some aromatic almond oil to keep my face glistening and smooth...😉

I use edge shaving cream and a hand razor for my face and an electric one for chest and pubes.

I use an electric razor. It is a Remington and it is 30 years old. I replace the blades a couple of times a year.

I use a beard trimmer. You can use a clam trimmer. No razor, it just fucks up my face and causes too many ingrown hairs.

I just started doing this shaving thing. Soccer guy from 5th grade through graduate school as university player or woman’s coach. WHY NOW ⁉️⁉️

Girlie is hot, OCDish, and I’m gone if no 💋 🍆 so negotiated terms were met.
-I’m shaving 🪒 places that never crossed my mind to shave.
-I use gold bar of dial for arm pit, nads, and one more area. Still have regular around 🍆 hair.
Much easier to take a bath once a week and “knock it out”…. No pain, fresh smelling, “cleansed” twice a week.
