Why do I feel like crying everytime I smell his cologne?

Someone wearing his cologne passes me by or I just catch a whiff of it - I'm immediately emotional and feel like crying. He was one of my guy friends who ghosted me for a stupid reason. We used to be so in sync it was crazy. It's been years though.
