Me: I just saw a guy doing something nice for his girlfriend/SO... And then too, never know if she had a medical reason and maybe couldn't tie her own shoe... But also couldn't help thinking there'd be "some guys on GAG" that would have thought that guy was a "Simp/Chad"🙄...

I would do it mostly cause my girl friend has very poor vision and I'd probably be concerned with how much of a clumsy she is she would find a way to trip on the way standing back up from crouching. (Yes if you are wondering she is the type to some how trip even on flat sidewalks.)

I wouldn't give him a title because of what he's doing I would think that he would have any reason and whatever that reason is it's none of my business I would look at it and she's being a nice guy I could think of 500 reasons right now poor guy doing that and all of them would be positive reasons that's the world I live in I can't live in a world where every move somebody makes they have a title for it because it's something that they feel or something that they haven't ever felt they give them a title I think that's wrong for me anyway

I think it would be sweet. Another angle is fairly personal. I suck at tying my own shoes and I know it. My husband stops what he’s doing if we are out and about and will make a point to tie my shoes in public and double knot them so they don’t come undone. I guess it’s just something that I’m too lazy to do. It seems our children are inheriting this from me as well🤣

If she have a medical reason and cannot bend to tie her shoe lace than i'll tie for her cause if she's my wife than i have to take care of hee and she would of done the same for me if i have a medical issue!

I think what a gentleman and as a lady I would kindly think him and if he was my significant other I'd give him a good tight hug... And you know what a man who's willing to be a gentleman is going to get a lot more than a hug from me behind closed doors. In my experience gentleman's on the street are the best in bed

I didn't vote, but if I see a guy doing that for a woman, I'd probably think the same thing when I saw a woman doing it for a man. "He must've hurt his back.". It may cause her a lot of pain to lean over or even simpler, maybe she's invested a lot of time, money, and effort into her nails for something extremely important very soon and asked if he'd help her without the chance of ruining something she's worked hard on.

I have never seen anyone above the age of 5 without a disability having their shoes tied by anyone else.

I have tied my brother's shoes countless times because of his disability. I tied a student's shoes because he had very low spatial sense and seemed very challenged on how to do it. I sympathize because I couldn't tie my own until second grade. Beyond that, I haven't tied anyone's shoes over the age of 5.

It strikes me as neither gentlemanly nor simpish, but strange.

I've never understood why so many people seem to want to politicize basic kindness. If I see someone who appears to be struggling, I'll usually offer to help (the most common example is probably someote reaching for something on a high shelf in the store)- it has nothing ho do with gender, and everything to do with promoting an atmosphere of kindness and human decency.

I voted for simp/chad as I got that kind of behavior from one girl I was with ever. One motorbike went through her leg. I picked her up, took her home, and did all the work. Put on ice and wrapped with crepe bandages and heating for two-three days. Her behavior towards me was never much nice or she gave a fuck if I was sick. She made a drama as I hadn't cooked as I had a cold and fever.
