So, this guy I work with has lately has been shortening my name (my name's Stephanie and he calls me steph) and takes some of the workload from me without me asking him to. He also smiles when I talk to him. he's also called me while we were working to ask if i wanted to get lunch with him but then quickly added he was gonna also ask one of our other male coworkers to come too. I'm just curious if this means anything.

I don't know. The shortening of the name is something common in the work place. Its faster to say Steph so I wouldn't look into that. I often help out coworkers, the faster the work gets done the more time people have to take it easy, meaning less stress, meaning happier, friendlier environment.
