I work as a waitress and tonight some old lady lifted the edge of my shorts to touch my tattoo on my thigh and call it pretty. Creepy as hell, no questions asked. But I told my male friend this and he freaked the fuck out and started to drive down to where I work. Luckily she left and he just went to my place to see my cats, but did he overreact? Or am I at fault for telling him?

If you have tattoos expect people to look. The old lady may have had a form of dementia. I wouldn't make a big deal out of it. Just wear pants from now on or longer shorts.

I don’t care if people look, but I think touching someone is out of line. And she wasn’t that old, so doubtful on the dementia. I was asking about his reaction not my own.

I think he overreacted. It's an older woman who probably had different boundaries than you. Most people don't touch strangers on their body, but some people are more touchy feely. If it were a guy, different story.

Yeah, customers should not touch you. But the friend is overreacting also.

He overreacted a little, but I think it’s because he cares for you and is overprotective. The lady shouldn’t touch you in the first place.
