What are reasons a guy would try to make a girl that he is dating feel insecure?

I think any guys like actually insecure women because there's a difference between insecure and shy. I know from experience that insecure women are difficult to date and since I used to talk to a lot of women I know that women find it difficult to date insecure men.

If he doesn't constantly you need to get away I believe the most guys that do that you're trying to break the woman down so they can start manipulating her and trying to control her by making her feel bad but then building her back up that's about the only thing I could think of either that or he's just and asshole no matter what it is I believe I wouldn't want to even be around him
