"You can't leave work early... you gotta stay to the end"
I was like"wtf are you talking about"
He said he nearly had a fight because other coworker is a dickhead and started to say nonsense stuff that made him angry
So... what did he mean by you can't leave
Did he mean i calm him or what

Sounds to me like he really doesn't want you to leave work because it causes problems when you do. That being said, if you have a dentist appointment go to your dentist appointment. He doesn't have to defend you to the co-workers.
