I don’t know how to explain it.

But as a female, I had a couple of male friends texting me just to check up on me and ask me about my day and life. Of course my life is not perfect, that I would explain to them that I’m busy or sad. Or both. Then they would explain solutions of what I should do with my life. That sometimes I would not have the motivation to do anything. And sometimes my male friends would get annoyed with me and avoid me for a couple of days. Then reach out to me days/weeks/months later.

I feel like with female friends you can be more open and get more serious, reasonable feedback about relationships (romantic, professional, friendly etc.) I think a lot of women are kind of secretly fascinated by the way guys think so if she's your friend you can usually get away with saying some wild shit to her haha.

Anyway, guy friends are good too but having some friends who are woman is useful. You can also get some pretty unique opportunities from hanging around women. They get so many more than guys do, I don't think most of them even register with them.
