Was I in the wrong for not being more attentive after bumping a truck with my car door?

Today at a parking lot I went to get in my car and when opening the door bumped the pickup next to me. I noticed there was no ding, and started backing out. The guy had been sitting in the truck, flew out the door and started yelling, accusing me of hit and run. I told him there was nothing to do as there was no damage, and drove off.

The guy was overreacting and being an asshole

You were the asshole. You should have - done what exactly?

Did you notice the guy before he flipped out on you?
He may have overreacted. But you don't get to decide that it was OK.
I would've taken your side if you'd apologized for bumping it. Even if there was no damage.
