Why would a friends with benefits stop sexting but still text me daily?

So I've known this guy for a little over a month. We agreed to be friends with benefits but we would also hangout once in a while. Just recently he stopped sexting but would still continue to text me daily. There are days he'll be really responsive, and then there are days when he isn't. Am I missing something here?

Few options. Perhaps he has found a new friends with benefits and is not going to intiate it with you. Or, he might be less interested in sex and be thinking about you two being a couple instead. Or, perhaps he is really busy. It depends on the tone of his messages.
