My childhood guy best friend touches me when we’re together?

Lately, when im with my guy friend he is always coming up to me and stands so close and will grab my butt but never say anything, or he’ll come up behind me and grab both of my hips and pull me close to his body. It seems that personal space is not a thing when he’s around me. He is also will grab my face while he is talking to me, or pull me in closer by grabbing my waist. He has never said that he’s likes me or wants to be with me, and im scared to bring it up I dont want it to get awkward and ruin our friendship.

He has no boundaries and doesn’t understand consent. It seems like you are not comfortable with it and need to say something.

He should listen and respect you when you tell him you don’t like it and it makes you uncomfortable. If he doesn’t, what kind of a friend is that really?

I know you are concerned that it will make things awkward, but it sounds as if his actions already have, at least for you.

Those sort of things aren’t what typical friends do to each other. No matter if he says he doesn’t want more than friends, he indicated otherwise. Point is, tell him to stop or he will continue on possibly get worse since you are allowing it.

Well it's already weird kind of lol. I mean, friends don't normally just grab your butt do they? They would be no reason do. Meaning he must be interested I would assume. So yes it is a risk, but unless you don't feel the same way (?), a pretty "safe" risk. But, if you are only wanted to keep the friendship, this WILL be an issue one way or the other (ie, eventually it's going to get awkward), so best to "confront" it now I think. Have a talk and see or make sure you're on the same page. Once feelings come into play, it's rare that both can survive, meaning he can't have feelings for you and "keep the friendship" probably, depending on how strong they are.

From what it sounds like your interested, but also sounds like your uncomfortable, if your uncomfortable tell him straight up you don't like him, but if you like him then tell him how u feel and forget about "ruining a friendship" cause with the way your doing things it can end up ruining a friend ship any way
