I started seeing this guy at the end of last year. He told me he liked me very much many times and whenever I’ve mentioned being in a relationship, he said he was weird and that he liked me. He never told me yes/no where a relationship was concerned. The last few months things have been weird and partially because he was busy with work stuff and I completely understood but he didn’t bother with me at all and was very distant etc.
Once I knew the work stuff was over I asked him if we were okay and that I understood being in a relationship is obviously not something he wants etc. I finally got him to open up to why and he said it was because he felt inadequate and I could do better etc. which I don’t agree with and I really like him. Anyway, after all the talking, he said he would sort himself out and do it right. I asked if he meant with me and he said he knew it was a lot to ask. I said ok because I really like him and want to be with him, I don’t mind waiting for him.
But it’s been two weeks and he hasn’t made one move to talk to me or anything. I tried to reach out to him this week and its been one word answers, taking ages to read it, leaving me on read. I work with him and he’s okay with me in person although we don’t talk in person in work as we don’t get the opportunity. I’ve given him so so so many opportunities to be open and honest with me and tell me how he feels and if he’s not interested that’s fine just let me know etc. So, answer me this, why would you say you’d do it right and then proceed to ignore me and not bother to even send me a text to say hello at any point? I just don’t understand the logic. How can I move on or wait for someone when I don’t know what’s going on and he won’t be honest with me? I’m starting to look desperate and I’m actually embarrassing myself at this point.
What the hell do I do and what’s going on with him?
