Guys, if you met a woma who is conservative, attractive, high self-respect, etc. - a sort of oddity in the area - would you be "desperate" to know he?

I am attractive, I know that.

I am also high self-respecting. I dress conservatively - e. g. turtleneck blouse & ankle-length skirt. Am respectful in actions. And am intelligent.

In ways I am a bit different than the norm around here. This is a very, very working area - I am not a local - and a lot of women my age are either on welfare, drug-addled, have a tough attitude, or dress revealing & act accordingly. There are women like me yes but we're an oddity.

I see a lot of guys saying no - then explain why he said he wasn't married, why he gave freebies, etc. I am trying to figure this guy out.

Desperate? That’s a strong response and only a desperate man would act desperate. A man on the same level as you—well-dressed, handsome, intelligent, and has high self-respect, wouldn’t act desperate.


If I was single and met a woman like that, they would stand out. Dressing modestly is a sure way to avoid being seen as trashy. And, carrying themselves with intelligence and self-respect would cause people to take them more seriously.


However, developing an interest would require more interaction. I’d have to get to know them better and see if we vibe before I decide if I like them or not. And, it would be the same with any man with standards.


Both men and women with standards aren’t so swiftly seduced.

If he’s a more sophisticated guy, he’ll be a bit harder to read and predict. If he’s from another country, social norms from his home country are probably different as well. You’ll have to use a different measuring stick to figure this guy out. 🙃
