Why did he rejact me?

Hii, I need a men's opinions on a situation as I really fail to understand what went wrong. I'll try to make this as short as I can.

I (22F) met a guy (22M) through some friends, we really seemed to hit it off, not only there was clear physical atraction, we seemed to have a lot in common and honestly just had a great time talking to each other. He showed very clear interest and I decided to take the initiative and I made a move as I genuinely liked him. We ended making out but not having sex. We exhanged numbers and he took me home even though he had a ride home. He honestly was incredibly nice and respecful to me.

He also did text me first, which reassured that at least he had interest to some extent. It kind of went downhill from here to be honest, I just thought he might be a bit shy or a bit of a dry texter so I pulled the trigger and I asked him to meet in person. He just made an excuse and hasn't texted me ever since.

I am very aware that he does not owe me anything so I just let it go, but I'm honestly extremely confused as to what did I do wrong. Did he lose interest because I showed too much interest in him? I thought guys liked when girls made the first move. Maybe he just wanted to have sex and was disappointed when it did not happen? Maybe I'm the one that really sucks at texting?

I'm a bit of an overthinker and even weeks after I can't get him out of my mind, so I kind of need an explanation to make sense of the situation and just clear my mind. And not to sound vain but I'm pretty hot as I take care of myself, so I'm pretty confident that wasn't the problem.

He could possibly be just having a good time and since you guys were hanging out with friends already it was not out of his way to meet you, for the lack of better words. It was probably fun for him and he did have a good time with you and enjoyed hanging out with you but that does not necessarily mean he feels the need to go out his way to meet you again. Especially since you guys met for only one time. It could also possibly be that he is more of a homebody so going out to meet someone might be out of his way unless there is a reason that urges him to (huge crush or horny or actually feeling like going out perhaps just some examples). Or he has some type of social anxiety so he might have preferred to hang out in a group in case there's any awkward air (even if he had a good time with you) If he is anything like me, this is how he could possibly feel. Just some opinions

Maybe he just isn't ready for anything more at the moment. Just know when a guys wants to be with you, you won't have to doubt it. They will make it known by their actions

1. He heard something about you or someone warned him off something but its def something that happened.

2. Its Either he an ass and he pretended to be the gentleman that night but I doubt it.

Its the only thing I can think off. Cause if you say he did all those for you on the night, that is something I would do. We in 2022 so whether you made the first move or not I'm shy I would have been happy you did and things would have been smooth sailing... So its either he woke and changed his mind which is A bit far fetched or I'm telling you someone set you up cause if they was your peoples they would be happy and wants what's best for you.

People change their minds... even when there is no reason for it. Even when they are in a position of Power, sometimes, people Exit. It is doubtful, that anything you could have done differently, would have had a better outcome. "It's not you but him".
