Why do guys wear shades in the gym?

It could be his eyes have a medical condition aggravated by bright lights.
More probable, it's so he can check out women or guys or both without being noticed.

There's one guy at the gym I go to that wears dark glasses. I figure it's so he can gawk at the women in there doing exercises and "not be noticed". I find it kinda funny myself.

It seems so obvious to me. If I'm in a certain pose, I can see him looking sort of in my direction, but not directly at me. But I'm sure his eyes are trained to certain parts of my body.
