How would I know if a guy was trying to get my attention by loitering but he never spoke to me?

I mean, if he semi followed my a couple of areas in the office and was near enough to say my name and get my attention. It didn’t look like he had a purpose but tried to make small talk with someone near then quickly left as I was finished helping someone. I looked for him but I couldn’t find him anywhere

I'm visualizing what you are saying like I'm walking the office with the pauses (loitering without purpose) and all that. It sound... and appears in my mind's eye a little Creepy...

Hahahaha sorry narration isn’t my strong point, I was in one part of the office chatting to a manager and he was at the end of the desk blocking the exit, I went to the other end of the office to help someone else snd then he was at the desk opposite/oblique to me loitering and trying to chat to another manager. Then he left.
