Is he considered sexist or misogynist?

My boyfriend is a very good and loving person. Generally speaking, he strongly believes in gender equality. We split household chores, he has female friends, he respects and love his mother, sister and grandma and has never insulted or disrespected me or tried to control me. He's also a sailor and he's also teaching sailing. Last week we went on a sailing trip with my cousins (2 guys and 1 girl) and he asked from my male cousins to help him with the boat in tasks that require more physical strength and not from me and my female cousin ( we are both thin and petite) and he said that these tasks require more physical strength. Do you think this is a sexist behavior?

Not necessarily.
A woman can sail just fine if either the boat is designed to make that easier without strength or if she has a good technique.
But learning that on the fly might be dangerous depending on the sea conditions.
There's a time and a place.

As one example, on one boat I sailed on, a square rigged historic fishing vessel in Norway to do things like lifting the sail etc there wasn't anything that the rope was going around, no pullies or gears.
To do it you either needed a *lot* of strength, more then any one person have.
Or you could pull the rope sideways with your body weight, then let go quickly while pulling on the rope at the bottom, then use friction to just keep the rope in place.
Once learned it's easy to do.
Every ship has multiple little tricks like that.
Learn them in good and safe conditions.
Then use them in bad ones.

But yes, if it's a bad situation then a unskilled man can sometimes make up for some of his ignorance with just brute strength.
And that can be the difference between life and death sometimes.

Often at work in this factory, some of the ladies can't remove faulty equipment because it's too heavy. They come and ask me to help them... imagine if I thought that made them misandrist. It's basic biology. We have more muscle, more testosterone, thicker skeletal and a denser frame than most women. I can lift things with one hand that a woman struggles to lift with both...

I would say no, a good leader knows the strengths and weaknesses of his team and gives out assignments accordingly. It’s not reasonable to expect slim and petite people of either gender to handle strength tasks. If the girls looked stronger than the guys (which these days I could believe😥) I’m assuming he would pick them.

Sounds to me like he missed a golden opportunity for a reality check. He should have asked you, let you fail, and made you ask for help before stepping in and handling it easily himself. I support gender equality, but I don't support the delusion that we're equal in every way.
