He felt his authority over a woman was in jeopardy? He is a member of law enforcement! 🤣 His job is to use his authority to enforce the law upon men and women alike! Attempting to use this to attack men doesn’t help anyone least of all your cause! Women aren’t above the law.

An argument could be made. He tasered the dude that tried to kill him with his vehicle, but he shot the woman dead. That’s definitely not equal application of force by any reasonable standard.

She did attempt to hit him with her car… 🤷🏻‍♂️ regardless of whether it was her intent or not. She should have complied with law enforcement instead of moving the car. None of this makes him a misogynist. It simply makes him a member of law enforcement who was defending himself from what could have gone badly for him

Great, now explain why he DIDN’T kill the man who tried to kill him with his car. You’re not using your head, neighbor. The argument can be made quite easily. Your statement should contain a qualifier like ‘I think…’, or ‘It appears to me…’. You don’t know that he’s not a misogynist any more than someone who thinks he is one knows that. You’re being unnecessarily foolish.

It could also be said that he learned his lesson that tazing someone results in him being dragged and seriously injured. I would think the fact the officer's first altercation being with a man, doesn't necessarily equate the second, more escalated violence with a woman being a result of misogyny, but rather him learning that deadly threats should be met with deadly force.

That’s fair too. I’m not saying that Ross is a misogynist or he’s not. I’m just pointing out that an argument can be made and it’s not unreasonable. 100% my first thought upon hearing that he had been injured by another driver just a few months earlier is that he might have shot because of that experience. If that hadn’t been his experience, maybe Good wouldn’t have gotten shot. That said, he is an experienced military vet and LEO. I don’t know if they would have put him back into service if he was demonstrating PTSD or other signs that he might react irrationally. He’s also married. Most men who hate women aren’t marrying in the current social climate. I thought i heard that he has a daughter, but i haven’t been able to confirm that. Most western men who have daughters are the opposite of misogynistic. Most likely, he doesn’t hate women, but an argument can be made.

The debate of PTSD vs. experience is one we can have.
in my opinion... I want LEOs that have experienced stressful situations. They tend to be wiser and better trained. There's no question that following his first encounter, the police force and trainers broke down the incident and what he did wrong and where he could have improved. And yeah, it's entirely possible his trainers told him he should have shot the guy in his first encounter.
