My friends with benefits doesn't compliment me frequently. He once said that he likes my smile, says he thinks I'm cute once or twice. But i think he doesn't mean them because. I asked him if I'm ugly or not, and he said no. But again, i thought he was lying. I'm not saying I'm in love with him or something, but it makes me feel insecure. Does he think I'm ugly?

If he's sleeping with you, he probably thinks you're attractive. Guys won't sleep with a woman they aren't physically attracted to.
