Why did he tell me that other guys ask him about me?

Me and this guy I’m seeing work in the same company but diff schedules but we know of each other’s coworkers
He told me the other day that I have admirers from his shift that ask him about me but he wouldn’t tell me who or what they ask him
Why did he tell me that other guys ask him about me?
