Why does he keep mentioning other guys checking me out / talking to me and other people asking him if I'm his girlfriend?

A guy friend of mine (who I suspect likes me) keeps mentioning when guys check me out, or come up to talk to me. And he keeps mentioning how random people asked him if I'm his girlfriend when we're at events with a group of friends. Why does he do this?

He probably likes you. Also maybe you speak badly of yourself or your looks and he's showing you that there is no need for it. But you should ask him out on s date, it could be a great relationship
