How do I give my number to a guy without making it awkward?

So there's this guy in an Irish pub I usually go to and he's really nice and cute and my mom also goes with me and she once showed him my picture and he said that I was beautiful and asked how old I was

My mom then made sure he was single and asked if she should just give him my number I told her let me think about it and yesterday he said he was gonna have a drink with me after he's done working he went downstairs after his shift and never came back after 2 hours of me waiting I was worried about him if something happened but Decided to go home I don't know should I let my mom give him my number or how do I give it to him I mean I often catch him looking at me when im not looking so I have a feeling he likes me but I don't know how to give him my number so I can get to know him better

The times I have been lucky enough to be in his shoes it has usually been a simple "I like/find you (insert positive trait) and if you want to hang/go/etc out sometime here's my number!". Its clear enough to be understood and doesn't exploit him being in a professional role where he is meant to cater to and indulge you by allowing him to respond when and if he wants to. Would absolutely do it yourself rather than have your mom do it.

Lastly even if he doesn't bite, don't feel awkward. Just go back as normal, tell them they still make a great whatever-they-make and he's still your favourite/a fantastic/other positive at whatever he does. Then order and go about it as normal. It normally won't get weird at all and the relationship tends to be special in its own way.

One of my friends said I should write my name and number on a piece of paper and put it in a small envelope and give it to my mom because she's gonna see him at the bar this Friday and I'll be working so I can't go do u think its a good idea he's literally your age and I just wanna kno like as a guy would u have a problem with the girls mom giving you her number or anything or you would be ok with that

It would be a curiosity. But I'd hesitate because of it. It isn't a problem but also shifts things into more uncertainty.

I very much do believe you should just give him the note yourself but if that is not something you feel capable of a somewhat worse chance is significantly better than none. Be honest with what you can and can not being yourself to do and go from there.

I wanna give it myself but I get sooo anxious and him acting so nervous doesn't help or the busy work environment he's in that's why I'm thinking of giving it to my mom to give to him 😕 like yesterday he said to wait and he would come back to have a drink and just disappeared 😢 so i don't think he even likes me maybe I shouldn't give it then

A note with your number is still a nice touch. It is fast and easy, as a guy he will likely feel flattered regardless. Interested or not it will make him happy.

It is scary! Super scary! But that is part of the fun. Your face threatening to turn a shade of red. Words not coming out quite the way you hoped. The hiding under your blanket as you second guess yourself. It is all absolutely crushing yourself but also such a thrill and unique experience. Don't deny yourself that. Regardless of how far it goes you'll grow and he'll be happy. You can do that, and who knows, you might just find out if he's a good kisser too.

I really want to but he's to shy around me he said he was gonna come to have a drink with me after his shift ended which did end at 6 and he went to the basement and didn't show up for 2 hours lmao and i was just wondering if he was ok that's why I was like he probably doesn't even like me and do u think its a good idea to give my mom a note to give to him when she sees him on Friday if I'll be working or do u think that's gonna make him feel awkward?
